The deep ocean is like another planet. Creatures that have remained unchanged for millions of years, molded by intense pressures, scarce resources, and almost a total lack of light. Entire extinction events have passed them by, and looking at some is like looking into a prehistoric age.
Not to mention "deep sea gigantism," the scientific term for "EVERYTHING IS WAY BIGGER DOWN THERE!" Yeah, the deep sea is pretty scary. Here are some of the terrifying creatures we'd rather not remember are living beneath us.
